6 ♥ PSH in my Travelogues :: Busan in Spring 2014 ~DAY 6 ♥

Day 5 in Busan

~DAY SIX~
::23rd April 2014::

It was DAY 6 and we needed to check out from our current  Haeundae Centum Hotel to move into another hotel near Haeudae Beach called Novotel Ambassador which Julie Nim , who is Sihoo Oppa's ambassador in Korea, who updated me that he stayed in this hotel when he was filming "Scent" in Busan^^ (((Gamsa Gamsa Julie Nim))) for helping me "get nearer" to my Kang In Joon^^ ㅎㅎㅎ

So before we checked out, the night before I read from the Dynamic Busan newsletter at the hotel lobby , there is a Hanbok and Korean Culture exhibition at BEXCO which is just located opposite our current hotel! WOW!!!…just our luck!….as all my family members agreed on it and pretty excited about wearing hanboks^^ So some of us quickly took a subway train to Kukjae area to have a quick breakfast and we had these (following the below in sequence)… Naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) , the spicy Gamjatang (pork bone soup) and the non spicy Gamjatang^^…nomu massisseo!! (super delicious!! )

So after we came back from breakfast, we walked over to BEXCO and look!…CNBLUE LIVE in concert^^…I love this boy band singing "I just can't stop…."…yeah…I just can't stop loving my Buyeo Jagiya!^^~ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

This is my 3rd time wearing hanbok during my Korea trips but this time it feels somehow special bcoz the thought of TPM OST sung by Sihoo Oppa suddenly filled the air around me…when the scene of Princess Se Ryung wanted to try out the Princess's wardrobe kept playing in my babo brains^^….ㅎㅎ

OK!…this is what I practically did with the hanboks on the exhibition, touching and admiring close up on the intricate and amazingly beautiful embroideries on the colorful hanboks, with my oohhhs….and aaaahhhss…as if I am Princess Se Ryung incarnated!^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

As there are limited sizes of hanboks for photography session, I am not allowed to choose the hanbok I want so the Korean lady who is in charged at the exhibition chose a hanbok for me…I stood there like a real Princess as she put on the hanbok for me and tied the sash just like Princess Se Ryung!^^ I wore the Empress and Dae Jeum Geum maid's hanbok in my previous trips but this time I am "Princess Mei" from TPM for less than an hour….Do you need a body double in your next sageuk dramas of Park Si Hoo Ssi…KBS?…SBS?…ㅎㅎㅎ

Here are my "Prince Kim Seung Yoo's wardrobe" at the exhibition^^….ㅎㅎㅎ
The hilarious part is :: note that the ANCIENT Kim Seung Yoo's hanboks are hanging on the MODERN Cha Seung Jo's wardrobe!^^….and there are SEVEN of them which is Sihoo Oppa's favourite number!^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

Princess Mei's wardrobe is also consists of SEVEN hanboks!^^….ㅎㅎㅎ

These are Prince Kim Seung Yoo and Princess Mei "couple" party hanboks!^^~ ㅋㅋㅋ
Look at my hanbok bottom color matching with his top hanbok^^…so cool huh?…ㅎㅎㅎ

This is Princess Mei Park Ha Ha (pun intended from the Korean drama Rooftop Prince, Park Ha) who came alive from 400 years ago to meet her beloved Prince of Buyeo for a photoshoot^^~ㅎㅎㅎ
Ironically, despite having limited stocks of the correct sizes, the Korean lady picked my favourite color green so here is my Buyeo Jagiya with his favourite colour blue^^

Don't ask me why but this babo happened to see all the "male" exhibited mannequins with my Buyeo Jagiya's handsome face!^^….ㅋㅋㅋ

I remembered I sent this Ganggangsullae creation to Sihoorangs last year for Chuseok^^

Yeah! Daebak!…me and my Buyeo Jagiya are getting married the Korean traditional way!^^…ㅎㅎㅎ
And here is some feast of our lunch for some  Samgyetang  that day near Busan Station^^

The banchans were all super yummy and the below that came with the Samgyetang , is rice mixed with barley which tasted so good, only in Korea I could taste such delicious Hansik!^^

I ordered for one with abalone and one without it….and everyone enjoy tucking in the delicious meal!

I also ordered a bowl of

After lunch we hopped on the Subway and went to Kukjae. Surprisingly, this area has changed a lot since my last visit in 2006 and everywhere there are new shops and it's beginning to look more like Seoul's Myeongdong^^ As I was walking towards the alleys, a building with the word "Malaysia" caught my eyes and it feels like Busan is welcoming us^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

We were walking and shopping and came accross this friendly and sweet hawker ajumma selling some pajeon , and tteokbokki and eomuk (odeng) ^^ I ordered some of her pajeon (fried pancake with chives) were sooo good…soft filling with crispy outer layer…in less than 5 minutes, the whole plate was gone with several pairs of chopsticks grabbing it^^~ㅎㅎㅎㅎ  Her tteokbokki (ricecakes) cooked with some eomuk (fishcakes) was also really good , not to mention her eomuk including the soup was warming up all our tummies^^

These pretty bright multi colored flowers were decorating the sidewalks of Kukjae welcoming springtime^^

Before we went to Busan Station to have our lunch, we checked out from our Centum hotel which is just walking distance to the Lotte Department and Bexco and check into Novotel along Haeundae Beach which Sihoo Oppa stayed during his filming for "Scent" in Busan, thanks to Julie Nim's precious information, I get nearer to date "Kang In Joon" during my last 2 days in here^^ This view is taken while I was in the cab from Kukjae.

We took a stroll along the beach front and I was thinking of taking my family members to Cafe Swallow where Sihoo Oppa filmed his movie "Scent" to enjoy some teatime but I didn't know exactly where the cafe is, thinking that it must be somewhere very near the hotel so I just kept walking hoping to find it somewhere along the way.

The horizon was beautiful as the sun was setting…I could smell the scent of Kang In Joon in the air with my soul…his existence was just here at the same spot less than 3 months ago…

As I have mentioned previously that I didn't know the exact location of Cafe Swallow, the places and sceneries around me seems to look very familiar from the photos I have seen online. Here is the long trail at random which I was taking my family members from our Novotel to Cafe Swallow…(>.<!)

I was praying hard ala CSJ while walking for more almost an hour to find Cafe Swallow!^^
While walking upwards on some road, it was where Kang In Joon was also walking with Zhu Li in "Scent" along the Dalmaji road towards Cafe Swallow^^…note the ocean view behind them*

It was getting dark fast and I still couldn't find Cafe Swallow and we came across a huge Condo called "Lotte Castle" and I was thinking…I know I am Princess Mei but I don't need a castle to date Kim Seung Yoo but I need to go to Cafe Swallow to date my Kang In Joon~!!! The internet connection wasn't working on my Iphone and I didn't tell Clara Onni where I was taking her and the rest EXACTLY coz it was supposed to be a surprise so I suggested we walked through the carpark of Lotte Castle and find our way to a main road and grab a cab back to our Novotel hotel after asking some locals for directions which seems to be more confusing as they were directing us North South East West…yogi….jogi…(here….there)….ㅎㅎㅎ

Yeah…as if I knew this was just like SCENT's trailer scene when Zhu Li was walking along Dalmaji Road looking for Cafe Swallow or Kang In Joon???…and I'm behaving like a reincarnated "Zhu Li"~ㅎㅎㅎ

I believe God was teasing me as…one of our family member was complaining…it was such a long walk and it seems we were lost in nowhere…far from the beach in between some back quiet street with Lotte Castle looming on our heads…as we exited the Lotte Castle carpark onto a small road, the moment Clara Onni said this out loud ::

"Don't worry, if we have the heart to go to the places we want to go,
God will help us no matter what."

As the saying goes, if there is a will, there is always a way!…as I have travelled so far just to date Kang In Joon so the moment she spoke that behind me, like magic out of a movie, I sighted a VERY FAMILIAR small building tucked in a corner under some street lights and VOILA~!!! I screamed….there it is!!!….CAFE SWALLOW!!! I finally found it!….^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

This is exactly how romantic it looks like just after the sun sets on the horizon….perfect timing for a perfect date with my Kang In Joon^^…ㅋㅋㅋ

This Cafe Swallow is run by a jovial and friendly Korean namja named Song Yu Won Nim. The surroundings of the cafe is more like a movie setting and the atmostphere is very storylike and warm^^

This is the front facade of the Cafe Swallow where "Zhu Li" stood probably waiting for Kang In Joon as I haven't watch the Scent movie yet which is releasing mid of August 2014^^

Chosen by Sihoo Oppa or just by coincidence?…NO : 7 is Cafe Swallow's address^^

This is Cafe Swallow's counter where Zhu Li was standing…note the RED and YELLOW bowls are still stacked on the shelves^^~…ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

This quaint little Cafe Swallow is like a movie set up with all the whimsical & cute toys and decorations around the cafe.^^~ Note the logo of the swallow of Cafe Swallow^^…Song Nim told me that Chen Ran asked him if that is a swallow, pigeon or dove as SCENT is using the messenger dove as their theme storyline. He explained to her that it's a swallow and joked with Chen Ran that he is the "Swallow" and Chen Ran is the "Dove"….ㅎㅎㅎ Hey! then what about my Kang In Joon & Mei Park??? …duck and horse?….ㅎㅎㅎ

This is the corner where Kang In Joon was sitting drinking his coffee^^…note the 2 small hanging pots on his left side^^

This is the particular chair that Kang In Joon sat on according to Song Nim who runs the cafe but now is being relocated near the wall…I asked him which chair was it as there are 2 identical one, he pointed to the left one^^….ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

It's also the same corner where Kang In Joon's photo of his profile was used on SCENT's poster^^….note the background green (my favourite color again!^^…ㅎㅎ) window panes^^

This is the menu but the red bean patbingsu wasn't available at that moment =.=

This is all we had and enjoyed at the Cafe!^^ Those patbingsu is really delicious^^~

This honey bread is exceptionally delicious and yummy!!^^ While I was checking on my internet connection…at one glance, it was all GONE!!!…FINISH!!.. =.=!!

Finally I have wifi internet connection at the location!^^~…note the time I took this photo was at 7:21pm (Korean time) when this babo ended her dating with Kang In Joon!^^~ ㅎㅎㅎ

After the awesome late tea time, we took a cab back to back to the hotel which was just less than 5 minutes away!….rested for a while before we walked to this Haeundae market opposite our hotel to have dinner^^~

We walked past several restaurant and saw one quite packed with customers and they were selling eels!^^ I've seen these slimy eels in the Jalgalchi market being skinned alive but I didn't know they actually cooked them alive all skinned and still wriggling @@! I haven't tried it cooked this way but these eels are not the same ones I ate in Jagalchi market. I prefer those than these anytime! We ordered for one non spicy and one spicy just to try them^^

The non spicy ones being cooked on tin foil, covered and eaten!

Same goes for the spicy ones^^ Before and after cooking on the tin foil right on the table in front of my eyes @@! Another round of bizarre food spree for this babo!^^~

This is how the eels kept wriggling while I hear the sizzling sound when they are being cooked @@!
I noticed alot of Korean men were eating and enjoying these eels in the next few tables chatting away.
Goo Yong Shik might think that sannakji (raw octopus) tasted weird so is Mei Park….who thinks that these cooked eels tasted weird too…very rubbery and hard @@! As much as I have enjoyed all kinds of Hansik and trying my best to appreciate most of them but for this particular dish , Clara Onni was laughing at my expression…but I can't help it…ㅎㅎㅎ ….one bite and a few chew…my "Goo Yong Shik" expression says it all…….ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Next to final DAY 7….
