♥ PSH in my Travelogues :: Busan in Spring 2014 ~DAY 4 ♥

This is the continuation of my Spring trip from Jejudo to Busan^^

~DAY FOUR~
::21st April 2014::

On the 4th day we checked out early from the Hanok to catch our flight to Busan. The night before, Hanok Chaebol asked me if we need our breakfast so he could arrange for a fast one just on toast but I politely declined him, as it will be a rush and we can always have our breakfast at the airport. That was very nice of him to suggest and I feel touched from his warm hospitality during our entire stay in the Hanok. I arranged with him for transport to the airport the night before and he confirmed that the Taxi ajosshi will pick us up right on time to take us to the airport. Anyeong Hanok and Hanok Chaebol^^~ㅋㅋㅋ We shall be back some day!^^

On the way to the airport, we saw lots of cherry blossom trees along the road side. Omo Omo^^….very pretty in sight from faraway but too bad we couldn't stop to take photos…ㅠ ㅠ  When we reached the airport, it was full of local and foreign tourist s. After checking in our luggages, we took the escalator upstairs at Level 2 to have our breakfast. We wanted to try something local rather than the usual sandwiches or western breakfast since we are in Korea so we went into a Korean restaurant. Put on your bib coz it's gonna make your saliva dribble over your computer for our day 4 meals…ㅎㅎㅎWhat was on the menu of this Korean restaurant was pretty unusual…ㅋㅋㅋ

Ma…horse…yes!!!…that's horse meat for the horse year~!!!ㅎㅎ ㅎ Luckily my Buyeo Jagiya is born in the year of the Snake and not horse, or else it would be like eating him!…aigoooOOoo…ㅎㅎㅎ

I just sent my Buyeo Jagiya a nice Happy New Year greetings with him as Kim Seung Yoo on a horse in a row of cherry blossoms for this year of the Horse and here I am facing some horse meat infront of me…@@! Omona….I can just imagine Kim Seung Yoo telling me this…ㅠ ㅠ ㅠ

That's grilled horse meat on the top and horse soup at the bottom^^ I didn't dare to try the grilled horse meat but all my family members seemed to enjoy it~^^ Clara Onni beckon me to try the horse soup, saying that it actually tasted pretty good! I took a tablespoon and sipped it…it tasted nutty to me like the peanut with pork ribs soup back home in Malaysia…mmm…but that was it!…@=@!

I know that Japanese serves shashimi horse meat :: basashi…yes! raw!!…but I didn't know Koreans served it too! I'm a foodie and animal lover and always been adventurous in food but not these bizzare food~!!…(>.<;) Now the idiom when I get hungry…I could eat a horse…really sound ironic to me!…ㅎㅎㅎ I want to ride a horse, not eat a horse~!!!…Andwae~!!!^^~It seems that horse meat is a delicacy in Jejudo^^~ You can read all about Jejudo horse consumption till this horse year runs out…ㅎㅎㅎ

When we were in the Jejudo Folk Village, the tour guide did told us that long time ago, there weren't any farm animals to be eaten as Jejudo is an island, only seafood were available. The only other meat were horse. The women were trained to dive and look for abalone for livelihood while the men are house husbands. Men lived like kings on the island while the women earn their livings. When horse meat were served, only the men were given the priority to eat the meat but the women weren't allowed to eat them. So the women took the boiled horse bones and grinded them into powder and made them into pills and ate them. That contained lots of calcium!!…thus making the women more stronger and healthier! They could dive starting from 14 years old up till 90 without any problem! There are still a lot of halmonis in their 60s to 80s are still seen diving around the island^^ DAEBAK~!!!^^

This is the regular Miyeokguk (seaweed soup) served on birthdays so…as long as I'm alive…everyday is my birthday and I can have seaweed soup anytime^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

This is is a special Jejudo's mushroom Bibimbap with chopped Perilla leaves known as deulkkae, Clara Onni and my favourite^^…some people are not used to the pungent smell of the perilla leaves but we love them!^^

Not all the Korean pre~mixed bap (rice) is bimbimbap so the ones usually served in Korean restaurants outside Korea are just regular bimbimbap. There are a few variety which are served in different city in Korea so next time, do look closely at the menu and oh!…you'll be surprise that Korea's bap alone is really tasty…especially those grown in Buyeo!!…ㅎㅎㅎ This one is shashimi fish Hoedeopbap which was really superdelicious~!!!^^ I could eat another bowl of this~!^^

The banchan (side dishes ) that consists of kimchi, black beans and spinach^^

Oh yes!!…this is my most favourite Kalchi kui (hairtail) fish throughout my trip in Jejudo^^ It was so savoury sweet!… and the meat is succulent & thick…thinking of it makes me drool^^~ㅎㅎㅎ The hairtail stew was so good and this is even better!!!…I could just eat this fish with my bap (rice)  alone!^^…incredibly delicious~!!! My Buyeo Jagiya…let's go do some fishing together and catch some hair tail…ㅎㅎㅎ Buyeo Jagiya :: AigooOOO @.@

After our hearty, healthy and tasty Korean breakfast, we entered the departure terminal and look at what greeted us!^^…loads of Taegeuk flags^^…and of coz I ♥ KOREA!…ㅎㅎㅎ…coz my Buyeo Jagiya is a Korean Hallyu Superstar!^^♥Daehan Minguk♥

WooOOo…yeoboseyooOo Captain PSH^^…there are a lot of Korean Airline planes at the Jejudo airport runaway, so which one did you board the last time you were here in Jejudo?…ㅋㅋㅋ

And….this is the Korean Airline plane that we boarded to Busan^^…ㅋㅋㅋ

At the check in counter earlier,  I saw these cute Korean Airline's avatar^^ The guy looks familiar…? ㅎㅎㅎ My JEAN THIERRY CHA SSI…at the beginning of CDDA^^…ㅎㅎㅎ Maybe they created it using my Buyeo Jagiya's handsome face^^~who knows?

That's me serving my Buyeo Jagiya when he flies on Korean Airlineㅎㅎㅎ

The Korean Airlines Steward and Stewardess really look like these cute avatars ironically^^ㅎㅎㅎ

ArrasooOOyo…Cha Seung Jo Ssi…I have my yeogwon (passport) and I'm ready to fly to Paris…oppps!…Busan yo!ㅎㅎㅎ

As we have sometime to wait before boarding our flight, some of us went to the Duty Free shop just next to our departure gate 6 and look around and whoa!!…something caught my eyes when I was browsing around the sunglasses sales counter^^ This handsome and hot hunk looks extremely familiar!!!…is he here to date me for real?…or has he been following me around from Jejudo and now to Busan?…ㅎㅎㅎ

That picture was only barely less than 3 weeks old…and that's my Pucca's Gyaru with that kissing stain that I posted to him in Weibo^^~ㅎㅎㅎ Cool!!…My Buyeo Jagiya is a fashionista in Korea! He looks perfect in each and every pair of sunglasses or spectacles he wore and made them look so awesome!  WOW! I want one too!! How cool is that?…ㅎㅎㅎ I looked around for my Buyeo Jagiya's sunglasses model and saw a pair which I loved him wearing in CDDA with that stunning look^^ It's Lacoste brand and there were 2 pairs quite the same and I wasn't sure which one so I just surf the internet and found the exact one. I looked for Clara Onni who was buying some cosmetic for her second opinion. She agreed it's the same model Cha Seung Jo was wearing^^ Green is my favourite colour so I bought it!…ㅎㅎㅎ Oh! now I have a "couple" sunglasses with my JOJO…since I fell for him in CDDA^^

This photo was actually taken by Clara Onni in Taejongdae Park the next day^^
I know right?….I look like "Kim Dae Ho" the Black Tiger in TPM with shades…ㅋㅋㅋ

Ironically…I even saw a Pucca's carry on luggage…so cute but if I were to use it…people would think I am a real babo! ㅎㅎㅎ

When we arrived in Busan, we took a cab to the hotel and on the way I saw this particular car and my eyes went @@ coz it's PARK…car???…PARK Si Hoo CAR?…ㅎㅎㅎ

You've gotta be kidding me!!…PARK is really a common name in Korea besides Kim^^…we have condos and hotels back in Malaysia called Parkhomes, Park Royal, Park Residence, Park Villa…but never heard of PARK as car model^^

After checking in our luggages, we walked across to Lotte Departmental Store which was just beside our hotel for lunch. We went down to the food court and there are lots of choices of food including Italian, Vietnamese, Japanese & Western food besides local Korean food. Here are some of the snack I bought to try out while the rest of my family members got what they prefered to eat from bento, pho to pizza^^ This is the eomuk or odeng  (fish cake) like the ones my Buyeo Jagiya treat his filming crew in CDDA.

The eomuk or sometimes called odeng (fish cakes) from the Japan slang of "oden" is better tasting than the Japanese and Taiwanese ones coz their broth is laced with spiciness from a couple of green chilli thrown in to brew it! However, in Korea, they don't serve the softened  Moo  (korean radish) like in Japan and Taiwanese coz I asked the Ajumma if I can buy it, she shook her head…Igo…ani…= this…no…literally…this is not for sale!…(>.<) so this dissapointed babo walked away with just whatever she sold me…ㅠ ㅠ ㅠ but I want to eat those soft and delicious MOO…Ajumma….waeguraee??  Help Oppa!^^…find me the MOO in the broth!^^

These are like dumpling except the fillings are pork with kimchi^^

This Hoppang (steamed buns) is with minced pork, chives, mushroom and dangmyun (sweet potato noodle/tang hoon) fillings and they taste sooo good eaten hot^^ Everyone took some and love it!

I bought some more when the first 2 were gone in less than 5 minutes!…ㅎㅎㅎ More hobbang with pork fillings with and without kimchi^^ I prefered the original one without kimchi^^ I ate these back in 2006 when I was Busan at another food court and it was just as good! Customers were lining up so this time I knew I had to take a bite of my favourite hobbang!^^

All shapes and sizes of  Mandu (dumpling) with pork and kimchi fillings, either steamed or fried^^ *yums* The fried ones were crispy outside with soft and chewy fillings^^

Some funky looking Baskin Robbins's "Spiderman" ice cream with some tiny crunchy bits like sweets and candy as dessert^^

AigooOOo…Spiderman must be a hit in Korea just like in Malaysia Spiderman^^~ㅎㅎㅎ Should we all go dress up in hanbok as Princess Se Ryung for Sihoo Oppa next Birthday celebration?…ㅎㅎㅎ

While enjoying the ice~cream, we took a stroll in the Lotte Supermarket and have a look at the local groceries. They are pretty interesting compared to ours in Malaysia due to their Hansik (Korean food) preparation^^ These were live crabs with some sawdusts as beddings^^…how comfy they look till they get dump into a pot of boiling seafood soup or became Gejang @.@…Opps!!

*Yums* dozens of abalone!!! They are so easily available everywhere in Korea! Over here in Malaysia, we only have canned abalone…-.-

This are peeled myeongge (sea pineapple) which I saw in a Korean documentary on KBS World but yet to try it on this trip. I've never seen these in any other Asian countries and this is my first time I saw it^^ They actually look like mini pineapple when unpeeled^^

That's my favourite hairtail fish!!! (top)….and more and more fishes from the sea^^

Who needs to be like Dan Ah making their own kimchi and bachan at home when the supermarkets are filled with more than 20~30 types kimchi available for your meals!!! My eyes went cross ways looking at them one by one and how creative Koreans are with their varieties!! The napa cabbage kimchi is the most common bachan outside Korea so if you get to see these bachan, your kimchi world will never be the same again forever!!!…ㅎㅎㅎ

That includes the Korean vegetables as wraps in their BBQ^^…including some rare vegetables which I've only seen in Korean supermarket which is pretty interesting for this curious babo^^

This is Minari (Korean water parsley/ water dropwort) which looks fresh from the spring harvest crop^^ I saw it on a food gourmet documentary on KBS World too and they add them into soup, toss them in gochujang to make salads or just add a sprig as garnishing, fresh or blanched^^

All kinds of fresh vegetables from goo soo (Korean coriander), green and red lettuce , ssukkat (chrysanthemum greens or crown daisy) with herby flavour also known as Tong Ho in Chinese which I love! to red Chard eaten as Ssam (wraps) or used in Namul (seasoned vegetables dish)…*Yums*…now I know the secret diet to my Buyeo Jagiya's silky-smooth-porcelain-white complexion ^________^~

After enjoying the Lotte Supermarket, we walked around a little while to shop and went back to rest while some stayed at the hotel lobby for some internet surfing^^ Soon it was dinner time and we just walked to the opposite building and went to this restaurant called Hurdy Gurdy…cute name!^^ Cool! the Korean waitress and waiter could speak perfect English so we started ordering our food from the menu^^ These are the fruity ice blended…from left to right…strawberry, lime and blackberry^^

Bacon and cheese pizza^^ *yummy*

Pastas…ala marinara..tomato and cream but no salted anchovies ala Pasta Sihoo available on the menu!…ㅎㅎㅎ These plates are HUGE…American size!…6 of us couldn't even finish the 2 plates coz we didn't expect to be this large portion!

And…of coz pasta will never be the same again when I eat them especially in Korea!^^~…ㅎㅎㅎ Naturally, my Buyeo Jagiya who is a pasta lover, was there in my heart and mind enjoying the pasta too with me!^^~ㅎㅎㅎ

We also had pork chops which was delicious^^ The pineapple rings goes well with the pork chops^^ *yums*

That night everyone slept soundly with a fully satisfied tummy from a whole day of great yummy food~ZZZZzzzz~~~while someone dreamt of a handsome and charrming man from Joseon Dynasty thanking Princess Mei for not eating his horse's meat!^^~ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ~~~

Next to  DAY 5 in Busan ….
