南韓演員朴施厚靠著多部戲劇走紅演藝圈，先前到大陸拍攝電影《香氣》時，機場等候的粉絲幾乎是可以用人山人海形容；另外，娛樂網站《酷狗》進行的「南韓電視劇男神」票選中，他也勇奪第一驗證高人氣。

他的經紀公司表示，在此次《明星巧克力》專屬模特兒選拔中，因為朴施厚在大陸和日本掀起的熱潮，以及各種排行榜上的高排名，引起選拔單位注意，從這一點看，意義非同一般。
